Social Control through your Digital Footprint

In Crapo(2013),describes in detail the socialization process that occurs when we are children and describes the basic way in which societies use mechanisms to maintain order. It’s know surprise that humans begin to learn appropriate social behaviors by watching and interacting with members of the same cultural group. This interaction and observation helps govern our morals by learning from these social activities together as a group.

In addition to children learning the customs of the group from observing the elders. Children are also then gaining a strong sense of independence and individuality. Conforming to the acceptable behaviors of a society is a cross cultural universal. By instilling the same values and conforming to normalcy of the culture, the child has now proven he or she is ready to transition into adulthood. A public display, typically in the form of a religious ceremony can be a highlight of this changing life…
